Looks like those in Kollywood are learning some valuable lessons from Kamal Haasan. For, an acting workshop was conducted recently by director V Z Durai for his forthcoming film '6', in which protagonist Shaam and leading lady Poonam Kaur actively took part.
Says Shaam, who is now very popular in Tollywood thanks to the stupendous hit of 'Kick', "As the script travels with a child, the 10 days workshop is very much useful. It gave enough confidence and ease to shoot even a complicated scene. Thanks to the director."
Durai, the man known for his work in 'Mugavari', 'Thotti Jaya' and 'Nepali', has roped in Sri Kanth Deva to score music for '6' and Mathi for doing art work. "Acting workshops are common in practice in Hollywood and British cinemas. Nowadays our own people also follow the same before go for the shoots," says Shaam.
He adds: "We recently shot in Warangal, Bhopal and other locations where some locals also attended the workshops, because Durai wanted them to be lively on screen. We will be soon moving to Goa to shoot some of the important scenes. The film is shaping up well."
